• Develop welding and brazing procedures and registering these procedures (WPQR & BPQR) with TSSA /ABSA / CWB as the case may be to any Codes or Standards
• Develop welding and brazing technologies for all metallic materials including exotic materials like the Titanium and its alloys., Inconel, Incoloys, Monels etc
• Write welding & brazing procedure specifications as required by the applicable Codes of construction
• Obtain performance qualifications for welders & brazers on any process and material combinations
• Train welders & brazers on various processes like the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW etc. in case of welding, and torch brazing, induction brazing etc. in case of brazing.
• Teach and prepare the welders for taking the Red Seal Program
• Train in the application of cost reduction as well as wastage reduction methods to make the process economical on the production shop floor
• Train for automation or mechanization of the welding processes on the shop floor to improve productivity
• Repair procedures, application of these procedure
• Consult in welding technology and fabrication of Titanium and its alloys
• Consult in developing technology for joining dissimilar metals.
